Don’t expect to see veteran sports journalist Marcellus Hall on Our News anymore. The senior broadcaster quit his job on the Cable 12 tv station to take up a new position at the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas (BCB).

Hall, who was the only sportscaster at Our News, shocked his bosses when he quit right before the Carifta Trials and Carifta Games, leaving Our News high and dry ahead of the major sports events.

ZNS couldn’t wait to parade their great new hire this weekend during a live broadcast of Carifta Trials.

Hall left his stagnant position for greener pastures after working at Cable Bahamas for over four years.

The sports fanatic previously worked for several years at ZNS where he quickly became a household name in the sporting community for his professionalism, in-depth knowledge of Bahamian sports and strong relationships with Bahamian athletes both in The Bahamas and those competing abroad.

Hall is just the latest big name to leave Our News. Popular reporters Kyle Walkine and Gillian Grey also turned their microphones in for more promising career opportunities.

It is rumored more Our News talent could be on their way out the door.

Whoa, Marcellus Hall making the jump back to ZNS right before the Carifta Trials is a massive shakeup! Leaving Our News high and dry like that is wild timing, but honestly, you can't blame him for grabbing greener pastures after four years at Cable 12.

As someone who tunes in daily for local athletics and MMA News, losing a heavy hitter like Hall leaves a noticeable gap on Cable 12. ZNS definitely scored a major win parading him out live so quickly. It's becoming a trend over at Our News with all the recent departures. Excited to see what he brings to the network!
