Baha Mar introduces 16-week fully paid parental leave

Baha Mar has introduced a new 16-week fully paid parental leave programme for eligible employees welcoming a child through birth or adoption.
The policy, effective June 29, provides eligible mothers and fathers with 16 weeks of parental leave at 100 per cent of their base salary.
In a message to associates, Baha Mar President Graeme Davis said the enhanced benefit reflects the resort’s commitment to supporting employees and their families during what he described as one of life’s most meaningful milestones.
Davis said Baha Mar considers its employees to be its greatest strength and that the company remains committed to creating a workplace where associates feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive both professionally and personally.
He said the new benefit is intended to give new parents the opportunity to focus on bonding with their children without the added burden of financial uncertainty.
The company said access to the programme is subject to eligibility requirements and the terms outlined in its Parental Leave Policy.
Baha Mar said property leadership teams would receive the updated policy, frequently asked questions and other resources to support a smooth and consistent rollout across departments.
Davis described the enhanced parental leave programme as a significant investment in Baha Mar’s workforce and a further strengthening of the benefits offered to its employees.
