Beverly Taylor passes away

The education community is mourning the passing of veteran educator Beverly Taylor, a retired Assistant Director of Education whose decades of dedicated service helped shape the lives of generations of Bahamian students and educators.

The Ministry of Education described Ms. Taylor as a committed career educator whose leadership and service left a lasting impact on the Department of Education and the wider Bahamian education landscape.

Ms. Taylor was particularly recognised for her commitment to the field of science and for the influence she had on the educators and colleagues with whom she worked throughout her career.

The Ministry said her contributions to education helped in the development of generations of Bahamians and will be remembered with deep gratitude.

“Her passing represents a profound loss to the education community and to our nation,” the Ministry said. “During this difficult time, we join her family in mourning and offer our prayers for their comfort and strength.”
