Newly-appointed Commissioner of Police Shanta Knowles has announced the promotion of several senior officers in the Royal Bahamas Police Force, marking a significant change in leadership. Effective immediately, the following officers have been elevated to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner: Zhivargo Dames, Roberto Goodman and Dwight Adderley

In addition, the Commissioner promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner: Mareno Hinds, Anton Rahming and Advardo Dames.

These promotions come as part of an ongoing effort to enhance leadership within the force and improve its operational effectiveness.

Knowles was sworn in as police chief last week, replacing Clayton Fernander who resigned after serving on the police force for over 40 years. One day later, Anthony Rolle and Kirkwood Andrews were promoted to Deputy Commissioner, replacing Leamond Deleveaux, who retired last month.
