OPM: PM never traveled on plane involved in Election Day crash

The Office of the Prime Minister has addressed inaccurate information in relation to the aircraft that crashed on Election Day.

On May 12, a small aircraft travelling from Abaco to Freeport crashed into waters off Florida. All 11 persons on board were successfully rescued by the United States Coast Guard.

Recent public comments made by FNM MP Andre Rollins have suggested that Prime Minister Philip Davis had previously travelled aboard the aircraft involved in the incident.

However, Prime Minister Davis has never travelled on the aircraft in question, according to OPM.

The Office of the Prime Minister noted that the pilot involved in the incident had, during an earlier period, flown the Prime Minister while providing services through Pineapple Air.

However, this fact should not be conflated with the aircraft that was involved in the May 12 crash.
