Missing man’s body discovered in Dean’s Blue Hole

The body of a man who went missing at Dean's Blue Hole on Saturday was discovered today at 5:45 p.m.
The victim is said to be 50-year-old Douglas McHardy, an experienced diver and fishermen. Family members had prayed for his safe return.
The discovery was made after an extensive search operation involving the police and members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
The search utilized an unmanned submersible drone to systematically scan the depths of Dean's Blue Hole.
The drone located the body approximately 600 feet below sea level.
Authorities are now working closely with the victim's family and deep water specialists to devise a plan for retrieving the remains.
They said the operation aims to ensure the safe recovery of the body while prioritizing the safety of the divers involved.
