The search for a missing man who disappeared near Gold Rock Creek in Grand Bahama has concluded after authorities discovered his body near the old missile base.
The man, who went missing on Tuesday, was part of a fishing expedition with a relative.
The two men set out along the coastline of Gold Rock Creek around 7:00 a.m. and planned to reunite at the separation point by 9:30 a.m.
However, as the tide rose and water conditions deteriorated, only one of the men made it back to the meeting spot.
Despite extensive search efforts by police and rescue teams, the missing man remained unaccounted for until this morning when his body was found near the old missile base.
The exact cause of death is under investigation.
