Man jailed for touching teen’s breast at Junkanoo

A man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl at the New Year's Day Junkanoo Parade has been jailed for 18 months.

Ernest Thompson, 61, pleaded guilty to a charge of indecent assault.

The Court heard that the 15-year-old girl was attending the parade with her father when Thompson squeezed her left breast.

Thompson, who has previously served time for rape, was also ordered to pay $2,500 in compensation to the child’s father to cover the cost of any future counseling.
