Man Attempted Suicide in Police Custody

A 62-year-old man is receiving medical treatment after reportedly attempting to take his own life while in police custody at the Nassau Street Police Station.
According to preliminary reports from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
The suspect allegedly inflicted injuries upon himself while confined in a cell. Emergency Medical Services were summoned, and the man was transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical attention and further evaluation.
Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the injuries or the man's condition at this time.
