Jones cancels Kevin Harris radio talk show

Love 97FM has cancelled radio talk show “State of Affairs” hosted by Pastor Kevin Harris.

The radio personality had no idea he was getting the axe until he showed up at the station.

He had dubbed today’s show “Opposition Day” and had invited Free National Movement (FNM) Chairman Dr. Duane Sands to appear to discuss the performance of FNM Leader Michael Pintard and the future of the opposing party.

He had already prepared for today’s show when management informed him that his show had been cancelled with immediate effect and today’s segment would not be allowed to air.

It is unclear what led to the show’s abrupt cancellation.

Harris, who previously held a senior position at Bahamas Information Services under the Minnis Administration, has faced several roadblocks in his radio hosting career.

He also hosted a talk show on Guardian Radio 96.9FM before the owners pulled the plug on the prime time show.
