Nine more cabinet ministers were sworn in during a ceremony at Government House this afternoon as the Davis administration continues to finalize its new Cabinet ahead of the opening of Parliament on May 20.

Veteran parliamentarian Glenys Hanna-Martin was appointed Minister of Tourism, Dr. Michael Darville returned as Minister of Health, and Keith Bell was sworn in as Minister of Housing and Land Reform.

Among those also taking the oath of office was JoBeth Coleby-Davis, who was appointed Minister of Energy, Utilities and Aviation. Clay Sweeting was once again sworn in as Minister of Works, while Pia Glover-Rolle will continue to serve as Minister of Labour and Public Service.

Also sworn in as ministers were Mario Bowleg as Minister of Youth and Sports, Zane Lightbourne as Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Ginger Moxey, who will serve as Minister for Grand Bahama, and Jomo Campbell as Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources.

Prime Minister Philip Davis said the ministers, all of whom served in his previous Cabinet, will help to build on the progress made between 2021 and 2026.

Additional appointments are expected to be announced on Saturday and Monday.
