Fort Charlotte Market offers residents major savings on groceries

The Fort Charlotte Family Market brought affordable grocery shopping directly to residents on Saturday, as families turned out in large numbers to take advantage of significant savings on everyday essentials.
Hosted by Member of Parliament for Fort Charlotte and Minister of Innovation and National Development Sebastian Bastian, the initiative offered residents access to a wide range of grocery items at prices reduced by as much as 40 percent, helping to ease the burden of rising household costs.
Shoppers browsed shelves stocked with staple items including bread, bottled water, soup, cereal, canned goods, hot sauce, salad dressing and other household essentials. Upon arrival, residents were able to choose either a shopping basket or cart before making their way through the market to select the items they needed.
Residents welcomed the opportunity to stretch their grocery budgets while shopping in a well-organized and convenient setting. Many expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that the discounted prices would help families better manage their weekly household expenses.
