BREAKING NEWS: PLP Minister Obie Wilchcombe found unresponsive
Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting Obie Wilchcombe has been found unresponsive, according to sources.
Wilchcombe, who also serves as the leader of government business in the House of Assembly, is currently in Grand Bahama where he addressed the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Women’s Branch in West End on Sunday evening.
He was discovered unresponsive this morning.
Wilchcombe was elected Member of Parliament for West Grand Bahama during the PLP’s overwhelming victory in the 2021 General Election. It marked his return to frontline politics after losing his West End and Bimini seat in Parliament in the 2017 General Election.
He previously served as Minister of Tourism under the Christie Administration.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Wilchcombe and his family.
