It was discovered that one of the nine jurors has ties to Free National Movement (FNM) Leader Michael Pintard. However, the juror did not disclose this pertinent information to the court

This means a new trial will start. This shocking development comes one day after the former girlfriend of the MP took the witness stand and recounted times when he allegedly raped her, assaulted her and threatened her on New Providence and Abaco.

The trial started on Tuesday and the jury was selected on Monday.

Prosecutors say that the incidents took place between January 4 and April 20, 2023.

Justice Renae McKay is presiding over the trial.
