Mega resort Baha Mar has heightened security at its Royal Blue Golf Course amid concerns over recent armed robberies.
Two security guards posted at the golf course entrance questioned visitors as they arrived at the Western New Providence property.
Guards were also spotted along the sprawling 18-hole golf course, where two back to back robberies were reported last month.
During the first incident, armed robbers emerged from bushes and robbed a golfer and his daughter while they were playing between the 9th and 10th holes.
The second incident also involved two men who robbed golfers playing on the course.
Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander confirmed that two people are in custody in connection with the two armed robberies at the high-end resort’s golf course.
In 2022, a group of tourists was robbed of cash, credit cards and jewelry on the 15th hole of Baha Mar’s golf course.
