Aircraft experiences landing issues at LPIA

An aircraft’s landing gear malfunctioned as it touched down at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) this afternoon, prompting an investigation by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA).


Preliminary reports indicate a Piper PA-23 aircraft, registered as C6-PIN from the Bahamas, experienced a landing gear malfunction upon touching down with five people on board.


Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The AAIA is actively conducting investigations to determine the root cause of the landing gear malfunction.
