Two men are facing a murder charge after former FNM MP Donald Saunders was killed during a botched holdup.
Prosecutors say Jaico Choute and Nicarson Nixon killed Saunders on March 27 while at Rags Bar in Gambier Village.
They’re also accused of robbing the bar of $650.
The men faced charges of murder, armed robbery and attempted armed robbery when they stood before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.
Bail was denied and they return to court on May 30.
The men claimed that they were assaulted by police while in custody.
The magistrate ordered them to be examined by a doctor at the prison.
