A Texas couple, identified as Adam and Helen Robinson, their two children, and 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha were among nine people killed in a tragic private jet crash in Florida on Sunday.

The Learjet 60, which was travelling from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera in The Bahamas, crashed in a residential area near Greenacres/Lake Worth Beach, Florida, after reportedly going down onto a roadside and leaving a crater in the street.

The aircraft, a privately operated Learjet 60 bearing United States registration N722BD, departed Austin, Texas, bound for The Bahamas before the fatal incident occurred.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, and further details about what led to the aircraft going down have not yet been confirmed.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Authorities are expected to examine the circumstances of the flight and the events leading up to the crash as part of their investigation.

The Civil Aviation Authority Bahamas (CAA-B) has confirmed that it remains in contact with its United States aviation counterparts and continues to rely on updates and information provided by the relevant American authorities.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Aviation indicated that it had received reports through the relevant aviation channels concerning the fatal incident.

Minister of Energy, Utilities and Aviation, JoBeth Coleby-Davis, extended condolences to the families, loved ones and all those affected by the devastating crash.
