Staff ordered back to work after deadly GB industrial accident




Employees of City Services Limited in Freeport, Grand Bahama are up in arms after their bosses ordered them back to work on the heels of a deadly industrial accident that left three men dead.


Disaster Response Authority Managing Director Kay Forbes-Smith is said to be a director on City Services’ board.


Last week, the three men - A Bahamian, a Dominican and an American - were preparing scrap metal for export at City Services Ltd. in Freeport when tragedy struck.


They were found inside a floating tank and were pronounced dead.


Staff members say they were ordered to return to work the following day and nothing has come out of the incident.


Their fear is it could happen again if proper steps aren’t taken.
