Search for survivors of plane crash near Solomon’s Lighthouse

Officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and Royal Bahamas Defence Force are searching for possible survivors of a plane that went down in waters near Solomon’s Lighthouse along the Eastern Road.

Eyewitnesses in the area reported seeing a flare gun go off in the sky after 9pm on Tuesday.

Police and Emergency Medical Services personnel are on the scene in hopes of finding survivors.

Several boats were deployed to the scene of the crash. However, it is unclear if they have found the individuals onboard the aircraft.
