The Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) is set to officially launch its 2026 election platform, Blueprint for Progress, during a national presentation on Wednesday night as the country prepares for the upcoming May 12 general election.

Party Leader and Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis will headline the event, joined by the full slate of PLP candidates, to outline what the party describes as a comprehensive plan to build on its current term and accelerate national development.

According to party officials, the Blueprint for Progress expands on existing initiatives while introducing new policies aimed at broadening economic opportunities and improving quality of life for Bahamians.

Key pillars of the platform include support for entrepreneurs, expanded access to affordable housing, continued energy reforms, crime reduction strategies, and investments in healthcare and Family Island development.

The plan also emphasizes strengthening connections between education and employment, including building a stronger pipeline between training institutions and the private sector.

“The Blueprint reflects our commitment to building a bigger, more inclusive economy,” Davis said in a statement ahead of the launch. “We’re not only investing in infrastructure—in new airports, clinics, docks, modern farming, and solar panels—we’re investing in Bahamians.”

He added that equipping citizens with “21st-century skills, education, grants, and financing” will be critical to driving the country’s next phase of growth.
