The Department of Immigration repatriated 104 Haitian nationals to Haiti today.
The group, comprising 76 men and 27 women and one child, was transported in buses from the Carmichael Road Detention Centre to Lynden Pindling International Airport, where they boarded a Bahamasair flight bound for Haiti.
The latest repatriation brings the number of illegal migrants returned to their countries of origin to more than 2,000 between January and August 2026.
Immigration officials say repatriation exercises are expected to continue as enforcement efforts are stepped up.
The Department of Immigration continues to warn foreign nationals to comply with the terms of their stay in The Bahamas, including departing the country before their visas or authorized periods of stay expire.
