Four men charged with boat tragedy

Four men are facing manslaughter charges after a boat capsized off New Providence, killing 18 people.
Donald Watson, 39, Jerome McKenzie, 58, Eulan McKinney, 49, and Wilbens Joseph, 37, a Haitian national who is in the country on a work permit, are accused of causing the deaths of 17 Haitian migrants and an unborn fetus.
The migrants drowned when the Bare Ambition capsized around 1am on July 24.
The accused were not required to enter pleas to the charges when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Praty and were denied bail.
They next return to court in October; however, they can seek bail in the interim.
