Bahamasair passenger arrested on Miami airport tarmac
A man traveling on a Bahamasair flight from Nassau to Miami was arrested by American officers shortly after the flight’s arrival at Miami International Airport this evening.
Officers from Customs and Border Patrol and the Sheriff’s office were seen on the tarmac waiting for flight 229 from Lynden Pindling International Airport to land in Miami.
Shortly after Bahamasair’s ATR arrived at the Florida airport, officers removed the man - who was wearing a white shirt - from the aircraft and arrested him.
50 passengers on the flight were stunned by the arrest of the passenger, who is believed to be a Bahamian.
Authorities said they had a warrant for the man’s arrest. However, it is unclear what offense he is wanted for.
