ZNS worker infected with Covid-19; employees sent home

Employees of the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas were sent home until further notice after one of their colleagues tested positive for the coronavirus.

ZNS employees who were not at work received a phone call today and advised not to report to the office until contacted.

ZNS released a statement advising it would be closed today for deep cleaning and sanitization.

Executive management said it was brought to their attention that an employee took a Covid-19 test and it came back positive.

Operations will resume on Monday.

ZNS is the latest government entity to shut down this week due to COVID-19 exposure.

It’s unclear how this Covid-19 case will affect the television and radio news broadcasts.
