WSC Unions declare war on Gibson

Leaders of the two Water and Sewerage unions have declared war on Chairman Adrian Gibson and are saying “enough is enough” after butting heads with the arrogant man-child once again.

Bahamas Utilities Services and Allied Workers Union and the Water and Sewerage Management Union have joined forces to take on Gibson and have instructed all of their members to exit all Water and Sewerage What’s App groups, turn in all cell phones issued by WSC and block executive management’s cell phone numbers.

The unions say this is just stage one of their war on Gibson as they inch closer to industrial action which could result in a water-free Christmas for WSC customers.

For three and a half years, unions have been at odds with the arrogant chairman who has adopted a “my way or the highway” approach to managing WSC instead of seeking to work along with employees while getting fat at taxpayers expense.

Union leaders are upset over a number of outstanding issues including outstanding Christmas bonuses, failure to complete WSMU’s industrial agreement, failure to pay workers overtime associated with Hurricane Dorian and unilateral changes to the industrial agreement for line staff.
