Police are searching for two men who escaped lawful custody in separate early-morning incidents on Saturday.
According to preliminary reports, shortly after 6:30 a.m., Thomas Minnis Jr., a resident of Washington Street, fled from officers at the Grove Police Station.
Minnis had been in custody on a charge of Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm at the time of his escape.
Police have since launched an active manhunt for the 29-year-old and are urging members of the public to report any sightings or information that may assist in locating him.
In a separate incident approximately one hour later, shortly after 7:30 a.m., Cameron Pratt, of Step Street, escaped custody at the Fox Hill Police Station.
Pratt had been detained on a charge of Grievous Harm when he managed to flee from police.
Officers have intensified search efforts and are appealing to residents, particularly in the Fox Hill and surrounding areas, to remain vigilant and contact authorities with any relevant information.
