The holiday weekend got off to a violent start on Friday afternoon when gunmen exited a vehicle and opened fire on a group of people standing on a corner near Iguana Way, killing a man and seriously injuring a 10-year-old boy. Our eyes on the ground tell us the murder scene got so chaotic that another man got injured in the crowd as he tried to run for his life.
According to the police report, the shooters pulled up in a gold vehicle around 1 pm, walked towards the group and started firing, hitting three people. One man died on the scene. Distraught family members wailed in the distance as the man’s covered body was rolled out of the yard on a stretcher. The little boy was rushed to hospital in serious condition while the third victim was said to be in stable condition.
The triple shooting was the second bloody scene in three days. On Wednesday, Fox Hill was also the scene of a senseless killing when a gunman opened fire on a 24-year-old man who managed to make it to Fox Hill Police Station before he died.
