Treasury closes in wake of employee death
The Treasury Department is closed today and is expected to remain closed for the remainder of the week following the death of one staff member, who allegedly was infected with Covid-19.
Staff members told the Gallery that several employees also reported feeling ill in recent days. However, they have not been tested to determine if they have the virus.
To be safe, the department is closed until next week.
Last night, the Ministry of Health confirmed 49 new Covid-19 cases and one non-Covid related death of a 59-year-old man on New Providence.
One death that was under investigation was also confirmed on Tuesday.
There are 3,467 confirmed cases of the virus.
