Tensions erupted outside the FNM headquarters following the ratification of seven additional candidates for the upcoming general election — including young entrepreneur Lincoln Deal for the Freetown constituency.

The drama centered around a prominent FNM supporter known as “Blue,” who had long expressed interest in running for the Freetown seat. Flanked by dozens of vocal supporters clad in white T-shirts bearing his name, Blue staged a protest outside the event, declaring that he had been overlooked in favor of Deal, who was a late entrant into the Freetown race.

Deal, whose political ambitions initially focused on the Killarney constituency, was redirected to Freetown in a last-minute strategic shift by the party.

The Killarney seat was instead awarded to FNM Senator Michela Barnett-Ellis, another young figure in the party seen as a rising star.

As Deal and his team took the stage Thursday night, chants and jeers from Blue’s supporters could be heard just outside the venue.

Despite the commotion, Deal maintained his composure and delivered brief remarks, thanking the party for their confidence and pledging to bring a fresh vision to Freetown.

Sources inside the party say the decision to nominate Deal was made after careful deliberation, though some party insiders have admitted the rollout could have been handled more smoothly.

Tension rose in my daily routine as deadlines for assignments and quizzes piled up in my online economics class. Balancing work, family, and other commitments left me drained, and the stress felt impossible to manage. I knew I couldn’t keep up on my own anymore. Each notification for a new task only added to the pressure, making me feel like I was falling behind. In that moment, all I wanted was someone reliable to do my online economics class so I could finally breathe.
