Prisoner charged with stabbing inmate
A prisoner has been charged with stabbing another inmate.
Leon Chase, 32, is accused of stabbing Joshua Cooper in the neck with a makeshift knife on April 30, sending him to hospital.
Police kept the incident under wraps and failed to report it to the press, as National Security Minister Marvin Dames fails to keep people who are free and incarcerated safe.
Chase pleaded not guilty and returns to court for trial on July 20.
He is currently serving a year in prison for a domestic violence case.
