Post Office worker accused of stealing $70K

A postal clerk allegedly ripped off the Public Treasury of $70,802.29 over a four-year period by cooking the books.

Prosecutors allege Terry Neymour, 52, of Behring Point, Andros, did not accurately record the money that she received for local money orders and post box rentals between October 2016 and February 2020.

Neymour pleaded not guilty to charges of stealing by reason of employment and falsification of accounts.

Neymour was freed on $9,000 bail in the Supreme Court during an emergency bail application.

Neymour hung her head in shame as she did the perp walk from the Nassau Street Police Station to the Court complex.

She returns to court on February 8 for trial.
