Two years after he was forced to retire from ZNS Northern Service, the FNM government has appointed veteran sportscaster Ricardo Lightbourn as Assistant Director of Bahamas Information Services in Freeport.
ZNS sent Lightbourn home in 2018 after he turned 60. He was given the boot one year after he was promoted to the position of Director of ZNS Northern Service.
Lightbourn’s new appointment at BIS became effective June 15, 2020.
He will be responsible for overseeing the BIS Grand Bahama office, administration and technical programs, and liaising with the local media and Government Ministries.
