As Tropical storm Isaias fast approaches, Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis will address the nation tonight during an emergency National Emergency Management Agency press conference.
Tropical Storm Isaias is forecast to become a hurricane on Friday or Friday night, according to the National Hurricane Center.
It’s the first time Isaias has been projected to become a hurricane.
The storm is also projected to remain a hurricane as it edges closer to this region.
The peaks of Hispanolia could make the storm less powerful as it emerges in the Atlantic waters north on its approach to the Bahamas.
Bahamians crowded stores to stock up on hurricane supplies. They are hoping Minnis will ease restrictions to give them more time to prepare for the storm.
