PLP senator’s plane runs off airport runway

Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Senator Randy Rolle escaped without injury after the plane he was a passenger on ran off the runway in Black Point, Exuma on Friday night.

Rolle, 46, was among six passengers aboard the twin engine Cessna aircraft.

Dreko Chamberlain was the pilot of the plane, which reportedly experienced brake failure, causing it to run off the runway about 250 feet into nearby bushes.

Also onboard were Deidre Bain and Paciourek Rodriguez of New Providence as well as Black Point residents Gregory Adderley, Bervin Brown and Lorraine Rolle.
