Plantol Street man charged with Sun Isles robbery

A suspect has been charged in connection with last month’s armed robbery at Sun Isles watch shop.

Three men held up the business on Montrose Avenue on October 26 and made off with $12,000 worth of watches, two PlayStations, valued at $1,400, and $1,500 cash.

Harry Deus, 32, of Plantol Street, was not required to enter a plea to the armed robbery charge when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.

Police allegedly seized a 9mm Taurus pistol along with seven rounds of ammunition on the day after the robbery.

He pleaded not guilty to the gun possession and ammunition charges.

Deus returns to court for both cases in December.
