Minnis cries at FNM church service

Free National Movement Leader Dr. Hubert Minnis shed crocodile tears on Sunday as the reality hit him that he will be a one-term prime minister.

Minnis wiped away his tears during a church service to commemorate the FNM’s 50th anniversary. He had hoped to seek re-election as party leader at the FNM convention on November 27 but senior party members have turned on Minnis and warned him to save himself the embarrassment of nominating ahead of the convention because he will lose.

After four torturous years in office, Minnis led the FNM to overwhelming defeat in the September 16 General Election.

During the service at Church of God of Prophecy, Minnis begged for forgiveness after he singlehandedly destroyed the FNM.

As the Competent Authority, Minnis forbid families from giving their relatives a proper burial but he shamelessly held the FNM’s 50th anniversary service at a packed church.

COVID-19 protocols weren’t observed as hundreds of people filled the church.

The service could be considered a funeral for the FNM as the party has no true leadership prospects.
