Police have issued a Marco Alert for Kayvon Belony, 10, who went missing from his neighborhood in Alexandria Boulevard.
The little boy was last seen on Tuesday. Police suggested that he ran away.
Similar to the Amber Alert in the United States, the Marco Alert is a voluntary partnership involving law enforcement agencies and the wireless industry to activate an urgent bulletin in missing child cases.
It was named in honor of Marco Archer, who was seven years old when he was kidnapped near his home and later murdered in September 2011.
