A gunman shot and killed a man on Melthorn Street, Pine Yard shortly before noon today.
The victim has been identified as Leslie Darville. He was transported to hospital where he died.
Friends expressed shock at his tragic death with one person posting “Fly high bro.”
Another posted, “Wow man, that’s sad” while one friend said, “R. I. P. Brother.”
Police combed the eastern New Providence community, searching for evidence and speaking with residents.
This latest murder comes one week after a man’s body was discovered by a group of people who were walking through a track road on Scott Street north of West Street.
They noticed Don Rahming lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the head.
