A man has been charged with two counts of murder in connection with the killing of a couple found dead in a car.
Prosecutors say Mark Augustine, 30, otherwise known as Mack 10, killed Doreen Mortimer and an unknown male on November 21 at Ida Street. Mortimer’s boyfriend, Ricardo “American” Rolle wasn’t named on the docket because he hasn’t been formally identified.
Rolle was homeless and slept in an abandoned Dodge Neon across the street from the home where Mortimer lived with her mother.
Augustine wasn’t required to enter pleas to the murder charges when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.
He has been denied bail and returns to court in February.
