Man charged over rape spree
Prosecutors on Friday charged a man who they say went on a rape spree that began in January 2021.
Divon De’Mon Seymour, 39, of Red Sea Road, is accused of raping three women and assaulting a fourth with the intention of raping her.
Seymour is accused of raping a 21-year-old woman on January 27 and robbing her at gunpoint of an A20 Samsung phone and $10.
On February 7, he allegedly raped another 21-year-old woman and robbed her at gunpoint of an $A10 Samsung phone.
On February 19, Seymour allegedly raped a 47-year-old woman.
On March 3, he’s accused of assaulting a 21-year-old woman with the intention of raping her.
Seymour was not required to enter pleas to the charges when he appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.
He was denied bail and returns to court on May 21.
