A man and a woman were shot and killed in a car on Ida Street north of Balfour Avenue overnight but their bodies were not discovered in the vehicle until after 6am Saturday.
Police were called to the scene of the gruesome crime shortly after 6am. They believe the two victims were killed within the last eight hours.
The victims were pronounced dead on the scene by Emergency Medical Services personnel.
Police did not indicate a motive for the double killing but said they are following significant leads.
The double murder comes four days after two men were shot in Elizabeth Estates. One of the victims died on Eastern Road on the way to the hospital.
