A man accused of groping a child while masturbating has been denied bail.
Larenz Ferguson, 21, of Alexandria Boulevard, Nassau Village, was arrested on a charge of indecent assault.
Prosecutors say Ferguson accosted a nine-year-old girl on November 14 as she took a short cut in the area. He allegedly chased the child while pleasuring himself and grabbed her butt.
Authorities detained Ferguson after she reported the matter to a relative.
Ferguson denied the charge when he appeared before the chief magistrate on Friday.
He returns to court on March 9, 2021 for the start of his trial.
Ferguson will remain in custody unless he’s granted bail by a Supreme Court judge.
