A man has been charged after police say he shot and killed his own brother.
Rafael Valdes, 41, of Fifth Street, The Grove, faced a murder charge in the death of physical education teacher Andrew Valdes.
Authorities found Valdes shot dead inside an apartment at the Stapledon School For the Disabled on New Year’s Day.
Prosecutors say the murder happened between December 31, 2020 and January 1, 2021.
Valdes was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on Monday.
He has been denied bail and next appears in court on March 30.
