A Haitian man traveling on a Bahamasair flight to Abaco went ballistic, causing $30,000 worth of damage to the bathroom door of the aircraft.
The plane was traveling from New Providence to Marsh Harbour on Wednesday when Morency Stevenson, 19, started behaving in a disorderly fashion and broke up the bathroom door.
The young man kicked the bathroom door off the hinges, leaving his dirty shoe print on the door. It’s not clear what sparked his outrageous behavior.
Passengers were shocked by the in-flight incident, which prompted the airplane’s crew to call police.
The Abaco-bound flight returned to Nassau to drop the passenger off where he was arrested by police for damage and disorderly behavior.
Stevenson was transported to the Western Police Station as police investigate the matter.
