An illegal Haitian National is on the loose on the streets of New Providence after breaking out of the Carmichael Road Detention Centre.
The man has managed to evade capture so far after being on the run for over 24 hours.
He is said to be lying low during the weekend lockdown when no one but essential workers are permitted to be on the streets.
Officials discovered the man was missing after 7am Friday.
Immigration and Defence Force Officers at the Carmichael Road Detention Center carried out their routine population count and discovered that Jack Gerlin, a male detainee, had escaped custody.
Officials have issued an all points bulletin and are combing the streets in search of the Haitian National.
