Greg Burrows to serve on Cal Ripken Major Task Force



Babe Ruth Commissioner for Baseball in the Caribbean, Greg Burrows, has been invited to serve as a member of the Task Force for the 2021 Cal Ripken Major / World Series to be held in Bronson, Missouri from August 4 - 15, 2021.


The task force comprises distinguished administrators in the game of baseball with a firm grasp of the rules.  


Members are tasked with ensuring that all procedures of the game are adhered to and protests are avoided.


Burrows said he is committed to representing and promoting the Bahamas internationally though the sport of baseball while pushing the islands as an ideal sporting destination.


In addition to the contributions Burrows made to the development of youth sports at a young age, he worked with young men from throughout New Providence teaching them basic life learning skills and the fundamentals of baseball through the Freedom Farm Baseball Program.


It is now regarded as one of the primary baseball programs in the country with over 800 boys and girls. 

The program has achieved international success with the placement of young men in high schools and colleges in the United States. A number of these young men are currently playing in Baseball’s Minor & Major Leagues. 

Burrows is also the Founding President of the Bahamas Baseball Federation.
