A 43-year-old court clerk, accused of stealing on the job, was charged in a Freeport court on Wednesday.
Marilyn Forbes of Hill Court, Grand Bahama was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on one count of stealing by reason of employment, one count of falsification of accounts and one count of acquisition of proceeds of criminal conduct.
Family members shouted words of encouragement as Forbes was escorted inside court.
Forbes pleaded not guilty to the charges and elected to have the matters heard in the Magistrates Court.
She was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 and was ordered not to leave the country before the start of her trial.
The matter was adjourned to April 7.
