The Free National Movement (FNM) staged a small protest today outside the Fox Hill Community Centre in Eastern New Providence, but their efforts appeared to fall short in both numbers and impact.
The protest saw just over a dozen party members holding up placards and chanting, "Brave gatta go!" as the Prime Minister arrived at the facility for a meeting.
The turnout was modest, with the FNM struggling to muster enough supporters to make a significant presence. Today's protest marked the second demonstration in less than a week by the FNM, following a series of developments linked to a high-profile unsealed indictment.
The indictment revealed charges against several Bahamians, including three law enforcement officers, deepening political tensions.
Sources inside the FNM acknowledged the difficulty in rallying significant crowds, citing both internal divisions and a lack of clear messaging to galvanize support. While party leadership had hoped for a larger turnout, the sparse showing at Fox Hill today reflected a growing challenge in maintaining public momentum.
Prime Minister Davis, who arrived at the Fox Hill Community Centre as the protest unfolded, did not address the demonstrators before entering the building.
