Eileen Carron steps back as Publisher of The Tribune

After decades at the helm of The Tribune newspaper, Eileen Carron is stepping down from her role as Publisher and transitioning into an advisory position.

Her son, Robert Carron, will take over as Publisher, continuing the family legacy at the publication.

In a move to strengthen the newspaper’s editorial and operational capacity, former journalist and Atlantis hotel executive Ed Fields has joined The Tribune as Managing Consultant.

Fields will focus on assisting with editorial direction and operations.

The Tribune is also restructuring its editorial team and increasing its efforts to expand its digital presence.

This shift comes as the newspaper works to remain competitive, following the digital growth of other outlets that have surpassed The Tribune in reaching online audiences.
